A Guide to Tropical and Non-Tropical Fruit app for iPhone and iPad
This app contains well over 100 different kinds of fruit from all over the world.
The information provided on each one includes where it originated and where it grows now, what temperatures it can tolerate, how to propagate it, what edible or other uses the plant/fruit has etc.
You can either browse alphabetically or by searching via the plants common or Latin name. Also if you just fancy picking one at random just to pass the time you can do that too. Also maps of certain regions to show plant hardiness zones.
All Information is stored on the phone (no connection to the internet needed to view).
There will be periodic updates to this app also adding to and updating the current information. If you feel there are any subjects that are not on this app please contact us.

Good interface and plant information!
This app has a descient Interface and is probably worth the 99 cents you pay for it. But Im not sure I would pay any more then that. The biggest problem is the way the information is layed out. All information on it is stuff that was cut and pasted from the internet. Much of which is usefull but it is a bit disorganized. As someone who wishs to grow some fruit trees in there backyard I want to know how big the tree is going to get, if it needs direct or partial sun, how much to water it, how long until I can reasonably see fruit, etc. Some of this information is there but alot of it is not, or not in a consistant format. Hopefully the author will improve the app because it has potential and it is much better then anything else out there I have found.
Best app ever!!! I wish they would update it though
We own an exotic fruit tree nursery and my husband is the expert. I am just learning and I love this app. It gives me a good base to build from and has most of the trees that we sell!
Unusable, shuts off...has bugs.
